Genres: Dark, Erotica, Contemporary, Suspense

My Rating: ★★★★ 4 Stars

Rose Meadows has been taken.
Now, she is forced to work as a stripper in a desolate bar owned by the Dark Rebel MC. This is the same club that killed her father and wiped out his club, The Sioux Rangers.
The Dark Rebels humiliate and abuse her and she is beginning to lose hope of ever being rescued.
Josh Carter lives like a wolf.
He roams the streets of Montreal like a ghost. He is the last surviving member of the Sioux Rangers and without his club he is completely alone in the world. He has no friends, he has no family. He rides alone.
When Josh learns that the DRMC have been holding Rose captive, he knows he has to do something about it. He can no longer let the past control his destiny.
Join Josh in the first novel of this stunning new series. This story is a beautiful and heartfelt portrayal of the limits of love in the brutal and dangerous world of Quebec's outlaw motorcycle clubs.
Find out if love can overcome all the odds.
Find out if the Sioux Rangers will ride again.

MY THOUGHTS:

Tbh this series is one of the grittiest, darkest, most suspenseful MC books I've read. It's not even a love story... well not until the second half of the book where the 'hero' wasfinally introduced. This book was f*cking brutal and mind-blowing. There were scenes that were hard to read but since I'm a fan of the author's vivid, compelling writing style, I couldn't put it down. Rose Meadows was the exact definition of the word "tainted". I could hardly imagine how brutal her life had been in the hands of the DRMC. In Tangled Rose (prelude to Tainted Rose), she was kidnapped, repeatedly raped, degraded, humiliated, and so much more I could barely think of. Now, two years later, she was forced to work in a bar ran by the Dark Rebels, strip, and be a whore for vile, disgusting men. I thought the scenarios in the first book was bad, but hell, it was even worse in this book. My heart ached for Rose. She didn't deserve any of the abuse the DRMC fuckers had given her. I abhor those men to the point of killing them in every way possible in my mind. The author's writing was so strong that I could intensely feel Rose's unbearable pain and constant misery. (Jesus, I was dying for someone to just fucking rescue her and someone who would kill those fucking bastards who abused her.) But just when Rose was about to lose hope in grasping her own freedom, we met Josh Carter, the man who would finally save her in the hands of the devils.

This book was brutally heartbreaking and utterly believable that it would pull you in up to the very end. If you're a fan of dark, disturbing biker stories, you would love this. The author was able to tell her readers how sick and twisted life can be and I am in awe of her. I'm dying to read the next book!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
